Fire Engine

A chunky, free-wheeling fire engine with a First Friends firefighter at the wheel. The figure lifts out and clicks into the open seat at the back, so the child loads, drives and rescues in one continuous play. Big wheels roll easily on any floor; the squeaking, posable firefighter and the fire engine's own job give a young child plenty to talk about. At home it plays in the living room; in a nursery or classroom it is made for group play.

How to play and learn

1–5 YEARS
1Show your baby that the toy moves and encourage your little one to push it along the ground and crawl after it.
18 MONTHS +
2Show your child how to make the car go. Encourage them to do it by themselves and to chase after it.
3Talk with your child about cars - what does a Fire Engine do? Why do we need Fire Engines? Why do we need Firefighters?
4Relate the toy to a real car and show your infant the similarities between the two.
5Talk about the appearance of the car and its driver - e.g. what colour it is, how many wheels has it got?
