How to play and learn

1There are many features for your child to discover independently at first. Let him or her manually explore the toy, turning handles and lifting lids.

2Demonstrate the function of any features possibly missed.

3Show your child that the shape rattles match the shape slots on the box, and encourage your infant to 'post' the correct shape into its corresponding slot.

4Encourage taking turns - show your child a shape and ask him or her to find the correct slot by spinning the lever or turning the handle to rotate the shape slots.

5Talk often to your child as you play together - refer to the shapes by their colour and encourage colour matching and recognition.

6Show your child the carrying handle and encourage lots of independent play.

7Use enthusiastic language with all your child's efforts - whether completely successful or not.

8Show your child how to store the shapes in the box when finished.
